Trade names for these injectable agents include Juvederm, Voluma, Restylane, Belotero, Restylane, Radiesse, Sculptra, etc. New companies and names seem to constantly appear on the market every year. Dr Hayduke evaluates all the latest available options on the market for facial fillers and stays current on the latest injectables by attending national cosmetic surgery continuing medical education (CME) conferences across America.

JUVEDERM

JUVEDERM® XC injectable gel is for injection into areas of facial tissue where moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds occur to temporarily add volume to the skin, especially around the nose and mouth.

JUVEDERM VOLUMA

JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC injectable gel is for deep injection in the cheek area to correct age-related volume loss in adults over the age of 21.

RESTYLANE LYFT

Over time the natural fat surrounding the cheeks begins to deteriorate, resulting in a reduction of volume, sagging skin, and more prominent wrinkles. Restylane Lyft is designed to add fullness to the cheeks and midface area. Restylane Lyft with Lidocaine is indicated for implantation into the deep dermis to superficial subcutis for the correction of moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles, such as nasolabial folds, and for subcutaneous to supraperiosteal implantation for cheek augmentation and correction of age-related midface contour deficiencies in patients over the age of 21

BELOTERO

BELOTERO BALANCE® is a hyaluronic acid (HA) injectable filler that completely integrates into the skin tissue. While some fillers are designed to rebuild facial volume and structure,BELOTERO BALANCE specifically treats moderate-to-severe etched-in lines and wrinkles such as vertical lip lines above and around the lips.

SCULPTRA

Within the deep dermis, your skin’s structure is reinforced as SCULPTRA Aesthetic helps to replace lost collagen. This reinforced collagen structure provides a foundation that gradually restores the look of fullness of your shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds* that has been depleted over time. The result? Sculptra Aesthetic is different because it gradually and subtly corrects these facial wrinkles. This can provide a refined, more youthful looking appearance that can last more than two years in some cases. A full treatment of Sculptra Aesthetic, an average of three injection sessions over a few months, can last more than two years.

RADIESSE

RADIESSE® is a dermal filler that is indicated for hand augmentation to correct volume loss in the back of the hands, and for smoothing moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases that extend from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth).

HYLAFORM

Hylaform/Hylaform Plus is a hyaluronic acid based dermal filler, used for moderate to severe lines and wrinkles produced by aging, and collagen degradation.

Dr. Hayduke performs all facial filler injections himself. He does not delegate this task to a nurse or other medical professional. The knowledge that a board certified plastic surgeon possesses of facial anatomy is extremely detailed, and Dr. Hayduke feels that facial fillers are best injected by someone with this level of knowledge. Complications can arise, especially if any of these fillers are injected to the wrong depth or in the wrong place. Millimeters can make a difference.
